Outer Sunset residents will have a new spot for sandwiches and sweets when Black Jet Luncheonette opens at 4033 Judah St. on Oct. 23. The new shop marks a spin-off for the owners of the popular Bernal Heights bakery, Black Jet Baking Co.
Why it matters
The Outer Sunset is getting a nostalgia-fueled lunch destination in a space with deep local coffee history. The shop replaces the former home of Trouble Coffee and DamnFine Coffee, offering a new stop for locals grabbing a bite near the coast.
The new business at 4033 Judah St. adds a second retail footprint for the company, which began as a wholesale operation in 2010. While the physical address is now fixed, the full rotating menu of pies and cakes remains subject to change.
